Larry L. Morris, age 79, a lifelong resident of Osnaburg Township, passed away peacefully February 23rd, 2026, after a lengthy illness surrounded by family and friends.
Larry retired from Timken Bearing Division Department 13. He and his late wife Nancy spent many years hunting Artifacts and arrowheads which was Larry's lifelong passion. He and Nancy spent 22 years working at the Nobles Pond site prior to development. Larry was past president of the Archeological Society Sugarcreek chapter. He and Nancy were very instrumental in the education of historical artifacts and pieces for the Boy Scouts as well as some school classes and setting up at festivals and venues with their collection.
Larry also developed a love for Nancy's passion; Black Angus Cows which they raised on their small farm. Larry enjoyed Blues music and could often be found burning C/Ds and sharing good music with those he loved. He also did some traveling in his younger years, loved the U.S.A. and even was blessed to visit Africa.
Larry is preceded in death by the love of his life, Nancy E. Morris in 2024, his father William L. Morris, his mother Wilma M. Morris, and a twin brother Richard at birth.
He is survived by his sister Janet C. Morris, her two sons David Morris-Newell, and Robert Morris Newell, his brother Gregory P. Morris (Jeanette), Greg's two sons Aaron P. Morris (Brianne) and Brandon W. Morris (Kaleigh) , sister in law Susan Davis and her daughter Susan Bernal, sister in law Merri John and her two daughters Teren Muchoney and Tricia Growe, and multiple nieces and great nieces and nephews. In addition, a lifelong friend through thick and thin Lynn Boyd (Bill), good friend Vic Garman, and many friends and neighbors he cherished, too many to name. They know who they are and are very appreciative. Larry is also survived by his beloved dog Jack.
A Celebration of Life will be held May 26th, 2026, at Don Pancho's Tex Mex Restaurant in Alliance Ohio at 6:00 pm.
No further services were planned as Larry's wishes were granted.
