Linda M. Strong

Linda M. Strong, age 80, of East Sparta died at McKinley Health Care of Canton, she was born in Canton, Ohio on December 19, 1943, to the late Ulysses and Glenda (Slutz) Strong. Linda remained a lifelong resident of the Canton and East Sparta Communities. 

Linda was a very active community member and made friends easily. She was the former owner and operator of the Cozy Corner on South Cleveland Ave. She also served in the capacity as Zoning Inspector for Canton Township for many years. She was a past member of the Sandyville Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Tusky Valley German/American Club. Additionally, Linda was the benefactor of the veteran’s memorial at Melscheimer Cemetery.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents; son, Eric Long; a brother, John Strong; half-brother, Franklin D. Gardner; grandson, Joshua; great grandchildren, Cadence and Marina; stepbrother, Terry Gardner.

Those left to cherish Linda’s memories are her daughters Denise Dazey and Vickie (Brian) Wottle; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; step brother, Victor R. Gardner Jr.; step sisters, Carol Neil, Florence Gardner.

In keeping with Linda’s wishes she will be laid to rest in Melscheimer Cemetery.
