Louis R. “Ron” Thompson

Age 80, of Uniontown, OH passed away Monday January 18, 2021 in Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital. He was born October 12, 1940 in Columbus, OH to the late Louis Gailon and Dorothy (Johnston) Thompson. Ron was a U.S. Airforce Vietnam veteran. He retired from Western Union after 20 years of service and Motoman after 10 years of service. Ron was active in radio-controlled airplanes and a member of Dayton RC club. Ron is survived by his wife, Sandie E. (Workman) to whom he was married 60 years; four sons, Keith (Betty), Jonathan, Daniel (Chandra) and Jeffrey (fiancé, Emily) Thompson; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be Friday January 22, 2021 at 2:30pm in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Friends and family will be received from 1-2pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton prior to services on Friday.
