Marsha "Kay" Leonard

Marsha “Kay” Leonard, 77, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26, 2025, at the Canton Christian Home.

Kay was born on May 8, 1948, in Canton, Ohio, to the late Harry and V. Eloise (Ring) Barkley. A lifelong resident of the Canton area, she graduated from Perry High School in 1966. Marsha was a devoted member of the 9th Street Church of Christ and continued her faithful service as the congregation transitioned to its new home, now known as the Northwest Church of Christ.

Kay was a dedicated homemaker who lovingly provided childcare in her home for many years, touching the lives of countless children and families with her warmth and care. She will be remembered for her welcoming kindness and love. Her delicious meals and desserts.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dennis J. Leonard, in 2011, and her sister-in-law, Kathie Barkley.

Those left to cherish Kay’s memories are her brother Bruce Barkley; nieces Rebecca (Caleb) Tolbert, Lorinda Mitchell and Morgan Sedjo; nephews Anthony Barkley and Randy (Nicole) Sedjo; sisters-in-law Patricia Sedjo and Peggy Baker.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation on Monday, June 2, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
