Martha R. Haubert, 94, of East Canton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, surrounded by her family. Her life came full circle when she went to Heaven on the same date of her wedding anniversary to Donald Unkefer, September 9, 1950. She was born in Mapleton, Ohio, on April 2, 1932, to the late Roy G. and Florence C. (Zimmerman) Anthony. Martha remained a lifelong resident of the East Canton community.
Martha was a 1950 graduate of East Canton High School. She was a devoted and faithful member of Christ Memorial Church in Robertsville, where she fondly served countless funeral dinners for families over 25 years. She was also instrumental in and actively involved with the Goodwill Sunday School classes. Martha was a longtime and dedicated member of Robertsville Grange #1784 and Pamona Grange, where she served in many different roles.
Martha truly loved being involved in her community and treasured the many lifelong friendships she made along the way. Above all, however, her greatest joy and most cherished role was that of a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Her kindness, faith, and love for others will be remembered by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald E. Unkefer, who passed away in 2001; her second husband, C. Richard Haubert, who passed away in 2011; her son, Dennis Unkefer; and her brother, Carl Anthony.
Those left to cherish Martha's memory include her daughters, Debra (Gregory) Tallman and Kathy (Richard) Schooley; grandchildren, Aimee (Gabe) Shilling-Manner, Kristy (Jason) Phillips, Valerie (Mike) Pachmayer, Matthew (Katie) Schooley, Michael (Megan) Schooley and Alex (Shannon) Schooley; great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Caleb, Tabitha and Micaiah Shilling, Korrie and Addelyn Phillips, Easton and Knox Pachmayer, Griffin and Lacy Schooley, Elijah Schooley; along with step-great granddaughters, Alayna Pachmayer and Brooke Manner; brother-in-law, Larry Unkefer; sisters-in-law, Ruth Unkefer and Carla Unkefer.
Friends and family may call on Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Sanders Funeral Home.
