Melinda C. Lake

Melinda C. Lake, age 67, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Medical Center, following and extended illness. She was born on May 23, 1958, in Canton, Ohio, to the late Avery Lloyd Haney and Anna Mae (Townsend) Williams.

Melinda was a graduate of Timken High School and chose to dedicate her life to being a homemaker, finding joy in spending time with her family, her beloved dog Honey Dew and creating a warm, loving home.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 30 years, Randall L. “Bear” Lake; her parents; sister, Judy Chatterson; and brother, Jerry Haney.

She is survived by her daughter, Miranda Lake of Canton South; her son, Jason Lake of East Canton; special family member John Travis Dunn; grandchildren, Zoey, Alliyah, and Mason Lake, and Morgan Mayle; and great-grandchild, Myla Lake. She is also lovingly remembered by her lifelong friend, Donna Bartrug, along with several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may gather on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Avenue. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m., followed by burial at North Lawn Cemetery.
