Nancy J. King

Nancy King, age 84, of Canton, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born December 30, 1938, in Canton Township to the late Floyd and Virginia (May) Mayer.

 Nancy was a 1956 graduate of Canton South High School.  She retired from Stark County Children's Service and was also employed by Vicar in Canton, the Canton South School District Administration, and the Timken Company. Nancy was a member of North Industry Christian Church where she served on several committees and in several ministries and bible studies.  She volunteered at Mercy Medical Center for 16 years and for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Balloon Classic Committee. Nancy loved serving others and giving to her church community and was the heart and soul of her large family.

She is survived by four children and their spouses, Michael and Kate King, Janet and Dave Boiarski, Christine and Steve Farkas, and Diana and Scott Lang; 10 grandchildren and their spouses; and four great-grandchildren.  

Nancy is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James King, and her brothers and sisters-in-law Floyd and Eva Mayer Jr., and John and Mary Mayer Sr.  

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 18, 2023, 12:30 pm at the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home, 4041 Cleveland Ave S, Canton, Ohio 44707. Friends and family will be received Monday, December 18, 2023, 11:30-12:30 pm prior to the funeral service.  Burial will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
