Patricia A. Ellington

Patricia A. Ellington, age 90, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025 in her home. A lifetime resident of the Canton and East Canton area, she was born on October 22, 1934 to Steve and Adeline (Rexrode) Maydock, and was lovingly raised by her aunt, Ruth Stitt. She was a 1952 graduate of Timken High School.

Patricia was a member of Canton Baptist Temple. She cherished her role as a homemaker and devoted mother.

Besides her parents, Particia is preceded in death by her aunt, Ruth Stitt; brothers, Rick, Robert, Steve, Jon, and James Maydock, and George Stitt; sister, Jan Boren.

Those left to cherish Patricia’s memory are her husband of 72 years, Glenn E. Ellington; children, Glenn E. Jr. (Vikki) Ellington, Dan (Barb) Ellington, Byron (Kimberly) Ellington, Mary (Larry) Bonam, Beth (Dan) Risbeck, Pamela (Doug) Diehl; 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Jake (Judy) Maydock, Jon Stitt, and Corinne Smith.

Visitation for Patricia will be Friday, August 15, 2025, from 11 am-1 pm at Canton Baptist Temple, with a funeral service officiated by Matthew Ellington to follow. Patricia will be laid to rest at Mapleton Cemetery.
