Patricia J. Ullom, 82, of Malvern, passed away peacefully at Aultman Hospital on Thursday, August 13, 2026. She was born in Canton, Ohio, on December 13, 1943, to the late Charles C. and Elnora H. (Meiser) Margo. Patricia was a lifelong resident of the Canton and Malvern communities.

Patricia was a graduate of Canton South High School. She retired from Anderson Floral Design and had previously worked at Colton Home Center in Waynesburg. Throughout her life, Patricia found great joy in using her many talents to bring happiness to others.

She will be lovingly remembered for her exceptional baking, especially her cookies, candies, and pies. No one ever left Patricia's home—or her snack shop at Lake Mohawk—hungry. She owned and operated the snack shop for many years, where she especially enjoyed making sure children had plenty to eat and felt welcome.

Patricia was also gifted with her hands, creating beautiful quilts, knitted and crocheted items. She generously donated many handmade baby blankets to the Aultman Hospital NICU, as well as lap robes to local retirement homes. Her love of gardening was equally generous. Her beautiful garden inspired many around Lake Mohawk, and she gladly shared cuttings with friends and neighbors, helping others begin gardens of their own.

Patricia's artistic talents were another important part of her life. Her journey as a professional artist and teacher grew from more than 35 years of experience working in the hardware, paint, picture framing, and office supply industries. Through those experiences, she developed an extensive knowledge of art materials and techniques. She eventually established and operated her own home studio, where she created her artwork and taught others to develop their own artistic abilities.

Patricia worked in a variety of mediums, including watercolor, oil, pen and ink, and colored pencil. Her subjects were often inspired by nature, including landscapes, still lifes, florals, and animals. Sometimes she worked from live subjects, but she often used photographs because of their convenience and portability. As a largely self-taught artist, Patricia's work reflected her lifelong desire to learn, create, and grow.

She was a patient and encouraging teacher who enjoyed helping others discover their own artistic abilities. She had a wonderful ability to guide her students in choosing subjects, colors, and techniques while encouraging them to learn and grow alongside her. Her warm philosophy was simply, "We'll grow together."

Many of Patricia's paintings and drawings reflected her love of flowers, which was also connected to her years as a professional florist. Her artwork was widely appreciated and sold, becoming part of private collections in several states. Her paintings adorned restaurant walls and were sold in local stores. She received numerous awards at local art fairs and festivals and was an award winner year after year at the Algonquin Mill Art Festival in Carrollton, Ohio.

Patricia was a faithful and active member of St. James Catholic Church. Her Catholic faith was an important part of her life, and she cherished the fellowship and friendship of her church family. She was also a member of the Canton Artists League, where she continued to share her passion for art and creativity.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles K. Ullom, who passed away on January 27, 2017; her brothers, Richard and Tim Margo;

Those left to cherish Patricia's memory include her daughter, Deanna M. (Bob) Statham; her sons, David G. (Kim) Poole and Michael L. (Tenna) Poole; her stepdaughter, Joyce L. (Todd) Moyer; her stepsons, Charles C. (Debbie) Ullom, Nelson L. (Vicki) Ullom and James D. Ullom; 20 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.

In keeping with Patricia's wishes, cremation will take place prior to visitation. Family and friends may call on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home.
