Age 68, of Canton died unexpectedly Thursday, January 6, 2022. Born January 2, 1954 in Canton, Ohio to Robert and Lillian (Henderhan) Johnston. He was a life resident of the Canton area and retired from the Timken Company melt shop with 40 years of service. Paul was a member of Jackson Friends Church, the Perry History Club and was a Master Gardener. Preceded in death by his father, Robert Johnston; a brother, Robert Johnston; a sister, Judy Eckelberry. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Sue (Mercer) Johnston; one son, Michael (Bobbi) Johnston; one daughter, Erin (Ben) Sprankle; two step sons, Tim (Lori) Stillion, Trevor (Missy) Stillion; one step daughter, Tami (Dustin) Fick; 13 grandchildren, Andrew, Katie, Troy, Sam, Cody, Jonah, Ashley, Lily, Nick, Aubrey, Addison, Caden and Casey; his mother and step father, Lillian and Myron Dawson; two brothers, Kim (Kathy) Johnston, Timothy Johnston; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, Jan 10, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. Interment in Richville Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Monday from 10:00 – 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Perry History Club, P.O. Box 80575, Canton, OH 44708. Masks will be required for all services.
