Perry J. “Jim” Martin

Age 74, of Canton died Saturday, July 2, 2022 in Cleveland Clinic Mercy Medical Center following an extended illness. Born December 13, 1947 in Canton, OH to the late Perry H. and Doris (Beisel) Martin. He was a life resident of Canton and a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. Jim retired from Republic Steel with 30 years of service. He was a member of American Legion Post#44. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carla (Bracken) Martin; three children, Brian (Michele) Martin, Jamie (Scott) Laign, Kevin Martin; seven grandchildren, Marisa Whaley, Alexandria Martin, Benjamin Martin, Malaina Martin, Logan Lane, Makalya Miller, Kelsea Miller; two great grandchildren, Elijah Bolin, Kyngsley Tucker; a sister, Barbara Martin. Following Jim’s wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no services.
