Raymond C Lambert

Raymond C. Lambert, age 90, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, June 21, 2025, in Akron, Ohio, surrounded by his family. He was born on January 19, 1935, in Wymer, West Virginia, to the late Luther and Lenora (Snyder) Lambert.

Raymond served his country as a corporal in the United States Army. He dearly loved his family and always made sure they came first. He never met a stranger, only made new friends, and always helped everyone in need. He enjoyed peace, hope, love, strength, courage and great dignity. He will be missed by those he left behind, for another angel has gone home.

Raymond was a proud resident of the Canton community for over 69 years. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth Elizabeth (Whaley) Lambert, with whom he shared 53 years of marriage until her passing on April 14, 2009. He was also preceded by his parents and all of his siblings; Hank, Ernest, Tunney, Kermit, Blake, Dempsey, Grace, Permilla, Carrie and their respective spouses.

Those left to cherish Raymond’s memory are his daughters Debbie (Bud) Channell and Cindy Reisinger; grandchildren Gabby, Tricia (Oscar), Tara, Cindy, and Buddy (Tiffiney); great grandchildren Addisyn, Jaxson, Kason, Kai, Skyler, Bella, Brantley and Luke, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who will continue to honor his memory.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton for visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Jeff Franks. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice in Ray’s memory.
