Raymond L. Rodgers

Raymond L. Rodgers, age 75, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Medical Center. He was born on August 29, 1949, in Malvern, Ohio, to the late William D. and Sara J. (Starling) Rodgers.

Ray proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he worked as a machinist and mechanic, retiring from Union Metal in Canton. He had a passion for fishing and a love for fast cars, hobbies that brought him joy throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Joe Rodgers.

Ray leaves behind many who will cherish his memory, including his daughters, Shelly Smith and Christina Eneix; son, David Rodgers; brothers, Robert and Richard Rodgers; sisters, Regena King, Doris Rodgers, and Marcy Rodgers and Marie Arkenburgh; along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also remembered fondly by numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom lovingly knew him as “Uncle Shorty.”

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a funeral service beginning at 6:00 p.m., all held at the funeral home.
