Raymond C. Sell

Raymond C. Sell, age 89, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by love on May 17, 2026. He was born in Minerva, Ohio, on August 26, 1936 to the late John and Icie Sell. He attended Augusta High School before enlisting in the United States Air Force.

Raymond spent many years driving truck over the road. He loved to work and his family fondly remembers him always reminding them to "get to work, you can shower later." He was known for his kindness and generosity to all those who knew him. He will be deeply missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 45 years, Matilda "Tillie" Sell; sons, John Sell and Chuck Watts; daughter, Marcella "Marcie" Mayle; and one grandson, Douglas Hookey.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Kenneth Sell, Greg (Annette) Watts, Lorie (Brian) Marks, Donna (Doug) Hookey, Cathy Keyser and Lana Watts (Brian Jacoby); 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and his brother and sister, Kenny and Ester Sell.

A special thanks to Raymond's nephew, Lee Chamberlain, for all the love and support you so freely gave.

Family and friends may visit at Sanders Funeral Home (218 Nassau Street E, East Canton, Ohio 44730) on Thursday, May 21, 2026 from 11am until 12pm. His funeral service will begin at 12pm with Pastor Steve Stewart officiating.

Raymond will then be laid to rest with his wife at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
