Rebecca Joy Johnson
Age 34, of Canton, flew to heaven on the wings of angels Sunday June 27, 2010 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was a longtime employee of McDonalds, most recently employed as an assistant manager at the Cleveland Ave SW store. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Jim and Ruby Hall, Mary and Raymond Shafer. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her high school sweetheart and husband of 14 years, Scott Charles Johnson; her precious eight year old twins, Alanah Joy and Scott Charles Johnson II all of the home; her mother, Betty (Keith) Poole of Louisville; father, Ronald Shafer of Canton; step-mother Pamela Shafer of Canton; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bonnie and Darl Hoagland of Louisville; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Patricia Johnson of Canton; sisters, Jennifer (Tom) Stiergerwald of Massillon, Crystal Williams of Louisville; step-sisters, Nyky (William) Beasley of Canton and Jen Wilson of Indianapolis, IN; sisters-in-law and special care giver, April Zeigler of the home, Angela (James) Barrett of Louisville, Stacie (Ronald) Merriner of Canton, Tangie and Patty Broadwater, Angie Weigend all of Canton, Nangie (Wayne) Jones of Louisville; brothers-in-law, Darl Hoagland of Canton, Jeffrey Zeigler of Louisville; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Hospice of Stark and Tuscarawas County and the staff of Union Hospital in Dover for their special loving care of Rebecca and her family. Funeral services will be Friday July 2, 2010 at 10:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Pastor Clint Jones officiating. Interment in Sunset Hils Burial Park.
