Richard Harding Schaefer

Richard Harding Schaefer, AKA Wacko fought his last battle on 1-11-23 due to multiple cancers caused by agent orange. He served in the Marine corp 1966-1969, receiving a Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts. He was a canton policeman for 33 years. His most important things in life were his granddaughters , golf, pasta night with his family and friends. Preceded in death by parents Anthony and Ruth Schaefer, nephew Brian Stieber, and brother-in-law Jeff Hummel. Survived by wife Yvonne, son Eric, daughter in law Logan, granddaughters Avery and Alice, brothers Randy (Holly Schaefer) Michael ( Barb Schaefer) sister Debbie McCreight, sister in law Bev Hummel, nieces Jenny, Diana, Kelly, Nicole, Michele, and uncle Paul Mosley.
