Rick E. Metz Jr

Age 40, of Columbus, Ohio and formerly of Canton passed away Monday, July 15, 2019 in the Community Hospice House, New Philadelphia, OH. Born September 9, 1978 in Massillon, OH. to Rick E. and Lesa D. (Franklin) Metz. Rick was a Columbus resident for the past 7 years prior to which he was a resident of Canton. He was a 1996 graduate of Canton South High School. Rick was a sub-contractor for Airtron. He loved sports especially Ohio State and all Cleveland sports teams. He hated Pittsburgh. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Virginia Metz, Robert and Edith Franklin. He is survived by his parents, Rick and Lesa Metz; a brother, Joshua Metz; a niece, Kara Metz; several aunts, uncles and cousins. A graveside service will be Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 11:00 am in Melscheimer Cemetery.
