Robert L. Hoover

Robert L. Hoover, age 82 passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2024 in Cleveland Clinic Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Canton, Ohio, on June 13, 1942, to the late Ralph L. Hoover and Martha L. (Morrow) Hoover. Robert remained a lifelong resident of the Canton community.

Robert was employed as an equipment operator at Collins and Aikman, Akro Division for 28 years.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents. 

Those left to cherish Robert’s memories are his wife Karen S. (Hawkins) Hoover together, sharing 47 years of marriage; son, Martin (Terri) Smith of Canton; granddaughter, Hazel (Richie) Cunningham; grandson, Henry “Hank” Smith; great-granddaughter, Aerianah Cunningham; brother, Michael Hoover of Canton; sister, Alice (Mike) of Bolivar.

Friends and family may call on Friday, June 28, from 10-11am at Sanders Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 11 am in the funeral home. Interment in Liberty Cemetery (Minerva, Ohio) will follow.
