Roberta Rose Zucal

Roberta Rose (Harris) Zucal, age 86, of Canton, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, surrounded by the love of her life, Conrad J. Zucal, and their devoted children.

Roberta was born in Canton on October 2, 1938 to the late Virgil and Helen (Wilson) Harris. She graduated from Canton South High School in 1956 and from Mercy Hospital School of Radiology in 1957. With a lifelong dedication to both her profession and her family, Roberta brought compassion and care to all aspects of her life.

On February 27, 1960, she married the love of her life, Conrad J. Zucal. Together, they shared 65 years of unwavering devotion—a love that stood as a powerful testament to faith, loyalty, and family. Their marriage was blessed with eight beautiful children and grew to include 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She will be remembered for her unwavering love, grace, and inner strength. With a gentle spirit and warm heart, Roberta had a remarkable way of making everyone feel welcome and cherished. Her kindness, humility, and deep commitment to those around her touched countless lives.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Conrad; their children, Sharon (Bill) Norton, Laura (Dave) Amabeli, Theresa Sandy (special friend, Ron Lisk), Kathy (Ed) Giriunas, Diane Bergman, Steve Zucal, and Cindy (Denny) Natale; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Roberta is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved son, Joseph P. Zucal.

Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family, grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Church, St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Canton with Fr. Benson Okpara as celebrant. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Roberta will be laid to rest at Melscheimer Cemetery.
