In Loving Memory of Rocky R. Mutigli
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Rocky R. Mutigli, who was called home to be with the Lord on August 12, 2025. He passed peacefully at home from complications of his congestive heart failure. Rocky brightened the lives of all who knew him, born on March 19, 1982, to his loving parents, Debbie Wagner-Mutigli and Rick Mutigli, in Waynesburg, Ohio.
A graduate of Sandy Valley High School, Rocky not only excelled in wrestling but also forged lifelong friendships through his dedication and spirit. His playful charm and unwavering zest for life made him a beloved figure among peers. He cherished every moment cruising in his beloved Camaro, feeling the wind in his hair and the thrill of freedom on the open road.
Rocky lived life on his own terms, embracing adventure early on and even moving to Naples, Florida, where he made unforgettable memories in his first condo. His charismatic personality lit up every room, and his infectious laughter had a way of making everyone feel special. Rocky had a unique gift for lifting spirits, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he met. Truly, he was a beautiful soul whose kindness and humor will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his father, Rick Mutigli; mother Debbie Wagner- Mutigli, stepfather Nelson Poland, stepmother Barb Mutigli; his daughter, Suri; sister Natasha Mutigli; brother Cole Mutigli; beloved nephews Austin, Luca, Axel, Ace; and nieces Kaydence and Malani Mutigli; as well as Uncle Ray Mutigli and his dog/ best friend Jeorge. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Ray Mutigli and Uncle Rock Mutigli, along with his loving grandparents, Nedra and Wayne Wagner.
Rocky’s legacy teaches us that life is not measured by the number of years we live, but by the love we share and the hearts we touch along the way.
Rocky, your life was a beautiful blessing, and your memory will forever be a cherished treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed more than you can imagine.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 400 W. Lisbon Street, Waynesburg, OH 44688, with Father Kevin Peters officiating. Interment will follow at Sandy Valley Cemetery.
I’m Free
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m Free.
I’m following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard his call,
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day,
To Laugh, to Love, to Work, to Play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered Joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life’s been full, I savored much,
Good friends, good times, a loved ones’ touch,
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, so he set me Free.
