Ronald "Ronnie" P. DiNarda

Ronald “Ronnie” P. DiNarda age 89 of Canton passed away in his home on Sunday, May 4, 2025 surrounded by his family after an extended illness. He was born on July 4, 1935 in Canton, Ohio to the late Hugo and Beatrice (Casali) DiNarda.

Ronnie was a 1953 graduate of Canton South High School and served honorably in the United States Army. He also served his community as a volunteer firefighter. He was an active member of Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church.

He started his professional career as an apprentice at Canton Tool, as a skilled tool and die maker. He formerly worked at various machine shops, having been employed the longest at Vance Precision in Akron, Ohio for over 20 years. He retired from Standard Jig Boring at age 72.

Some of his many interests included working on cars and photography, where he took numerous family photos as well as nature and a pastime of collecting pipes and watches. He took pride in planting flowers and growing tomatoes and pepper plants each summer. He enjoyed our many family outings and vacations especially the trips to the Outer Banks, NC. and the one special trip out west. Family was always important to him, and he always made sure we had experiences we could cherish for a lifetime.

Ronnie also looked forward to the annual camping trips with his brothers and nephews, where they would sit around the campfire and reminisce about their childhood memories. One of his favorite pets was a parrot named “Judy” which was a surprise on his 51st birthday. He also had a soft spot in his heart for our little dog “Benny”. Ronnie was much loved by his family and will be deeply missed.

Along with his parents, Ronnie is preceded in death by his wife, Joann DiNarda; one brother, Gordon DiNarda and sisters-in-law, Kay and Pat DiNarda.

Ronnie is survived by one son, Dennis (Karin) DiNarda; daughters Susan DiNarda, Sandra (Ronal) Origlio, and Lisa (Mark) Distel; grandchildren, David DiNarda, Stephanie (Burke) Hummel, Jessica (Brandon) Graham, Sean and Joseph Origlio; great grandchildren, Lucas and Layla DiNarda, Grayson and Kyson Ayres, Cole and Tanner Graham; sister in law, Karen DiNarda; brothers, Ramon (Karen) DiNarda and Dennis DiNarda; numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may pay their respects on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 9:00am -10:00 a.m. at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m., located at 4940 W. Tuscarawas Street, Canton, OH 44708, with Father Thomas Bishop as Celebrant, burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
