Ronald F. Shannon

Age 68, of Canton, passed away Saturday January 20, 2018 in Mercy Medical Center. He was born July 9, 1949 in Canton to the late William T. and Charlotte (Roland) Shannon. Ronald was a 1967 graduate of Perry High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Wayland Baptist University in Texas. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and the V.F.W. Ronald retired from the U.S. Air Force after 23 years of service and formerly was employed as an insurance agent with American General Insurance. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Carol (Chancy) to whom he was married 46 years; three children, Julie (Paul) Szymanski, Jennifer Shannon and Ronald P. Shannon; three grandchildren, Anthony and Armand Szymanski, Christopher Shannon; one brother William Shannon. A memorial gathering will be Monday January 29, 2018 from 11-1pm in the Pike Grange, 1421 Battlesburg Rd SE, East Sparta, OH 44626.
