Ronald Dean Wilson, of North Canton, passed away on March 15, 2026 at the age of 79. He was born to the late Chester Sr. and Mary (formerly Parretta) Wilson on April 14, 1946 in Canton, Ohio. He attended Canton South High School. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army where he served in Germany during the Vietnam War.
Ron dedicated over 30 years of service to Hoover Company where he held many different titles. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and fishing. He was also very meticulous about keeping his garage, house, and lawn in pristine condition. Ron always went above and beyond to keep things looking beautiful and he could fix anything!
In addition to his parents, Chester D. Wilson Sr. and Mary Wilson, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia (formerly Brumma) Wilson; brother, Chester "Dave" Wilson Jr.; brothers-in-law, Bill and Bob Brumma and Butch Morrell; and sister-in-law, Peg Changet.
Survivors include his cherished partner, Sharon Evey; brothers, Gerald "Jerry", Kim (Angela) and Mark A. Wilson; sisters-in-law, Toni Wilson, Jean Woodcock, Barb Knapp, Maureen "Reenie" Morrell, Gladys "Nippy" and Grace Brumma, and Sheryl (Tom) Rybkoski; brother-in-law, Fred (Janet) Brumma; special niece and caretaker for the last year of Ron's life, Chrissy Traina; as well as a multitude of beloved nieces and nephews, and numerous friends.
Family and friends may visit at Kreighbaum Sanders Funeral Home (4041 Cleveland Avenue S, Canton, Ohio 44707) on Friday, March 20, 2026 from 11am until 12pm. Ron will then be laid to rest with military honors at St. John's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank, where Ron volunteered for many years.
