Rusty Hines, age 55, of East Sparta, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 20, 2026. He was born on April 13th, 1971 in Zanesville, Ohio to Rickey and Delores Hines.
His untimely departure has left a permanent mark on all who knew and loved him. Rusty was a free spirit whose zest for life was infectious, making him often the life of the party. His laughter and energy could light up any room, and his presence was a beacon of joy to his family and friends.
Rusty was a devoted husband and married the love of his life, Kristia Farkas. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
Rusty was an avid fisherman, finding peace and happiness in the great outdoors, especially when he was by the lake. His love for nature was only rivaled by his love for his family.
Rusty's professional life was marked by dedication and excellence. As a Maintenance Supervisor at FSA in Canton, Ohio, he was known for his quick thinking and a wealth of knowledge that made him an invaluable team member and mentor to many.
Rusty is survived by his loving wife, Kristia L. Hines; his children, Austin L. Harbert and Van and Ashley Salewsky; his grandchildren, Haven, Jack, Tucker, and Levi; his beloved mother, Delores Kuehl and Mike; his brother and sister-in-law, Rickey L. Hines and Raschelle Casto; his sister and brother-in-law, Karen J. Roush and Kevin C. Roush; as well as brothers and sisters-in-law, Tom and Heather Farkas and Gina and Bob Davis. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, including Kacey G. Hines, Curtis L. Roush, Kevin C. Roush II, Kylie K. Roush, Derrik, Jessica, Emma, Abby, Trey, and many more who adored their Uncle Rusty.He was preceded in death by his father, Rickey L. Hines, and his niece, Jacqueline M. Hedrick, whose memories he carried close to his heart.
Rusty's life was enriched by the close friendships he cultivated over the years. He was blessed with friends who were like family, sharing in his adventures and the everyday joys of life. His legacy of laughter, love, and light will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at Kreighbaum Sanders Funeral Home (4041 Cleveland Avenue S, Canton, Ohio 44707) from 1pm until 3pm. A celebration of Rusty's life will be held immediately following the visitation at the VFW in Navarre (6680 Woodland Hill Rd SW, Navarre, OH 44662) where family and friends will gather to honor and remember a man who lived life to the fullest, leaving behind a tapestry of beautiful memories.
