Sheila A. Tinus

Sheila Tinus, age 81 of Canton, Ohio passed away March 6, 2025 at her home from Alzheimer disease that she had for the past four years of her life. She was born September 4, 1943 in Canton to Norma Shaheen and Jack Pollack, step-father William Shaheen. Sheila was a proud 1961 Graduate of Canton South High School. She was employed with Nationwide Insurance for 30+ years, where she proudly retired from. She loved music; from R&B to oldies, she loved to get down to many great musicians. She loved long car rides through the monument park with her two granddaughters. Sheila also enjoyed going to Woody’s Root Beer Stand for a great burger, fry, and a small root beer, along with Taggart’s to get her special chocolate pecan ice cream.

Sheila is preceded in death by her mother, Norma Shaheen; father, Jack Pollack; step-father, William Shaheen; husband, Pete Tinus; daughter, Renee Rogers; son, Peter John Tinus; sister, Kathleen Serotek.

Sheila is survived by her son, Michael Tinus, twin granddaughters, Marissa and Alyssa Rogers, niece, Sherry Prestier, and many extended family members and great friends.

Family and friends will be received Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 4-6pm at Kreighbaum Sanders Funeral Home, 4041 Cleveland Ave. S., Canton, OH 44707, with a small ceremony to follow at 6 pm. Condolences and fond memories may be shared online at:
