Shelley M. Wheeler

Shelley M. Wheeler, 64 of East Canton, passed away on August 13, 2025 in her home. Shelley was known for being very creative, her love for animals, and was a loving wife and mother. She is welcomed to heaven by her son, Christopher, Mother-in-law, Ethel Wheeler, brother-in law, Harold Wheeler and both of her parents. She was born to Emanuel and Amelia Margartiakis in December of 1960. 

Shelley married Mike Wheeler in 1986, and they were devoted to each other during their 39 years of marriage. Shelley loved all her children, Lacey (Nick) Aukerman, Michael J. (Chelsie) Wheeler, Christopher M. (2010) and all her grandchildren, Christopher, Holton, Knox, Ellison, Merrick, and Evie. 

Shelley is survived by her brothers, Steve (Lisa) Margaritakis, James Margaritakis, sister, Maria Margaritakis, and numerous nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law and life-long friends. 

Shelley graduated from the National Beauty College in 1980 and excelled at being a beautician and hair stylist for over 2 decades. She stayed at home to raise her three children and could be found volunteering for 4-H, girl scouts, T-ball, and numerous other sports. In 2000, she became a cook at the Foltz Community Center and was an EMT and volunteer firefighter for Osnaburg Township. Shelley’s family and friends always loved being around her and enjoyed her zest for life.

Friends and family may gather on Sunday, August 17, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Sanders Funeral Home. Shelley’s funeral service will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
