Stevan R. Knox
Age 80, of Canton passed away April 13, 2021. He was born in Sugarcreek, Ohio. Preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Florence (Stevanus) Knox; his stepfather, Donald Koehler; brothers, William and James Knox; sisters, Mary Koehler and Harriet Dyer; and his side kick and beloved dog, Samson. Steve leaves behind his wife, Judy (Gauze) Knox of 60 years on April 9th; daughter, Linda Knox; son, Steven (Susan) Knox; brother, Donald (Pat) Palmer; brother-in-law, Charles Dyer; a sister-in-law, Wanda Knox; his grandchildren, Sam and Jaret Knox, Taylor Kress; many nieces and nephews. Steve graduated from Canton South High School in 1958. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years aboard the USS Purdy as 1st Class Sonarman during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was employed at Washington Steel, where he served as union president and accomplished so much for the workers, including benefits and raises. Steve was an avid golfer and had played many different courses. Following Steve’s request there will be no services.
