T. Elaine Wilson

T. Elaine Wilson, 88, passed away on October 23, 2026, at Canton Christian Home. She was born on July 15, 1938, in East Liverpool, Ohio, to the late Donald and Grace (Maxine) Dixon.

Elaine was a graduate of the former Middlebranch High School, located in Plain Township and spent her life in the Canton area. She worked for many years as a secretary for Canton Local Schools and the Stark County Juvenile Detention Home. She also held various retail positions at Belden Village.

In her free time, Elaine enjoyed drawing, writing poetry, cake decorating, playing the piano, and sewing. She was a member of Parents Without Partners (PWP), the Melody Makers and Players Guild, where she enjoyed opportunities for creativity and fellowship.

In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Dixon; her first husband, Delnor Neighbor; and her second husband, Ervin Wilson.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Mark (Sharon Rivera) Wilson of Canton and David Wilson of Chicago; her daughter, Valinda Picone of Canton; her brother, Leslie (Shiryl) Dixon of Cambridge; her grandchildren, Jackie, Ryan, and Hannah (Anthony); and her great-grandchildren, Chance (Anna), Jadon, Raine, and Paxton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Elaine’s wishes, a memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home, with Pastor Jeff Franks officiating. Family and friends are invited to visit from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
