Thomas A. Tender, Sr.
Age 68, of Canton, passed away Sunday June 13, 2010 in Mercy Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born March 2, 1942 in Pittsburg, PA to Thomas S. and Leona J. (Davis) Tender. Thomas was a Canton area resident since 1946 and had attended Lincoln High School. He retired from Republic Steel in 1993 after 26 years of service and had attended Martindale Christian Fellowship Church. He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas S. Tender in 2004. He is survived by four children and their spouses, Thomas A. Tender Jr. and his friend, Angie Piper of Canton, Sonya and Henry Atkins of Forsyth, GA, Susan and Seth Dean of Canton, Angela and Justin Dominick of Massillon; 11 grandchildren, Brittany, Isaac, Amber, Colton, Hannah, Isaiah, Dakota, Natasha, Peyton, Riley and Avery; his mother, Leona J. Tender of Canton; one sister, Luetta J. Tender of Canton. Funeral services will be Thursday June 17, 2010 at 1:00pm in the Martindale Christian Fellowship Church at 3545 Martindale Rd NE, Canton, OH 44714 with Pastor Steve Manko officiating. Interment will be Friday June 18, 2010 at 2:00pm in West Alexander Cemetery, West Alexander, PA. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S.
