Twila J. Carpenter

Twila J. Carpenter, age 95, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at McKinley Health Care. She was born on March 23, 1930, in Canton, Ohio, to the late Homer Harsh and Lena Renzenbrink, and was a lifelong resident of the Canton community.

Twila had a joyful spirit and a love for life. She especially enjoyed big band music, trying new foods, and most of all, spending cherished time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Carpenter (1991); daughters, Bonnie Glovas and Peggy Bryant; grandson, Christopher Bennett; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Jenkins, Arlene Manfull, and Zelda Noble; and brothers, Dave, Roy, Earl Jr., and Walter Harsh.

Twila is survived by her children, Sherry Morgan, Lorraine (Ronald) Morris, Paula Bennett, Randy Carpenter, and Kenneth Carpenter; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and her brother, Dale Harsh.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Baxter Ridge Cemetery.
