Viola "Kay" Booth, 74, passed away on June 29, 2026, at Aultman Hospital. Born in Canton, Ohio, on January 4, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Howard Clayton and Isabelle M. Baad.

Kay graduated from Canton South High School in 1970 and later attended Stark State College, where she earned an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering-an accomplishment of which she was immensely proud.

She found joy in spending countless hours reading or crocheting while relaxing on the front porch. Above all, Kay cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was known for her ornery sense of humor, playful flirtatious personality, and ability to make those around her smile. A devoted animal lover, Kay had a special place in her heart for cats and birds. In her younger years, she enjoyed training Appaloosa horses, a hobby that brought her great happiness. She also had her favorite daily ritual-ice cream and a Diet Pepsi-and everyone knew not to interrupt her during that special time.

In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her brother, David Allen Baad; her nephew, Gregory C. Baad; her beloved fiancé, William H. Fowler; and her cherished feline friends, Dennis and Miss Kitty.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Tina (Billy) Clum, Gerald Booth, and Clay Booth (Kaeli Carnifax); her grandchildren, Andria Logan, Alissa (CJ) Whitmer, Meagan (Jacob) White, Ariana (Korey) Hadden, Mi'Shell Booth, Gerald Booth, and Aiden Dolan; her great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Sopheah, Nathaniel, Willow, Hunter, Asher, and John; her special great-grandson, Jr., with whom she shared an especially close bond. She is also survived by her aunt, Betty; her cousin, Sherry; her bonus grandchildren, Dailyn and Callie; as well as many other beloved family members and friends.

Cremation has taken place and the family will hold a private celebration of Kay's life at a later date.
