Wayne G. "Jerry" Hamilton

Wayne G. “Jerry” Hamilton, age 74, passed away Monday, September 30, 2024, in Mercy Hospital. He was born in Canton, Ohio on August 24, 1950, to the late Wayne M. and Freda E. (Oyster) Hamilton.

Jerry attended Louisville High School and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a crane operator for the Timken Company for over 30 years. He loved Classic cars and attending car shows but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandkids. 

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Melvin and Diane Hamilton and Ronald, James, David Biolata.

Those left to cherish is memory are his wife of 53 years, Sandy Hamilton; children, Lori Robinson, Kristi Hamilton (Tim), Jeremy (Melissa) Hamilton and Joe (Tabitha) Hamilton; grandchildren, Kasey (Drew) Heitger, Gage (Vicky) Robinson, Brett Robinson and Bria (Gunnar) Tharp, Erica (Andrew) Mareno, Molly Robinson, Charlie Robinson, Alexander Donaldson, Brooklynn Donaldson, Cailyn John, Kayla Hamilton, Desiree Hamilton, Austin Hamilton, Alecia Hamilton, Jeremy Hamilton II, Emma Hamilton and Aubree Hamilton; great grandchildren, Karolina, Daxton, Octavia and Violet; siblings Phylis Hildreth, Sherry (John) Ruszala, Kevin Hamilton and Linda Mickel. Jerry was also blessed with “two bonus sons”, Bill Ankrom and Kyle Mayle and numerous nieces and nephews. 

The Family would like to extend a special thank you to his caretaker, Mike Clapper.

Jerry’s Visitation will be held on Thursday October 3, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton, with his funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm., with military honors.
