William R. Adams, age 92, of East Sparta, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Aultman Hospital.
He was born in Canton, Ohio, on January 30, 1934, to the late Walter R. and Ruth I. (Passwaters) Adams.
William was a lifelong resident of the Canton area and a proud 1952 graduate of Timken High School. He honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps before becoming a successful entrepreneur. Through hard work, determination, and integrity, he built, owned, and operated Adams Fabricating, Inc., a business that reflected his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
Above all else, William was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a member of the Atwood Christadelphian Ecclesia, where his unwavering faith in God's promises shaped the way he lived his life. His trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, hope of the coming Kingdom of God, and the resurrection gave him strength, comfort, and purpose throughout his years.
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his sister, Norma Coy, brother, Clifford E. Adams, daughter-in-law, Debra Adams and son-in-law, Rick Cole.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 68 years, Elizabeth A. (Mullins) Adams, whom he married on June 15, 1958. Together they built a life centered on faith, love, and family. He is also survived by his sons, Stephen Adams and Arnold (Darla) Adams; his daughter, Sherry Cole; his cherished grandchildren, Austin, Parker, and Hudson Cole, Dakota, Chloe, Kayla, Zach, and Mike Adams; his brothers, Walter R. (Ruth) Adams Jr. and Dennis (Anna) Adams; his sister, Martha (Edward) Myers and his eight great-grandchildren. Also, many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends will miss him greatly.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The funeral services will follow visiting hours, starting at 11:00 a.m. Services will be held at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home, 4041 Cleveland Avenue South, Canton, Ohio 44707.
