William E. Groves

William E. Groves, age 79, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Altercare of Louisville.

He was born on August 27, 1945, in Massillon, Ohio, to the late Charles Gilford and Wilma L. (Keyser) Groves. A lifelong resident of the Canton area, Bill was a 1963 graduate of Canton South High School. He continued his education at McKinley and Canton Actual Business College.

Bill dedicated his career to helping others as a hydro-therapist, working at Doctors Hospital and Goodwill Industries. He was also deeply committed to his community, volunteering for over 25 years with the YMCA and giving his time to the Canton Palace Theatre.

Preceded in death by his parents, and sister Sandra Dodson.

He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings: sisters Glenda Heaston of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; brother Charles L. Groves; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In accordance with Bill's wishes, a graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Hills Burial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in Bill's honor.
