William L. Lucas Jr.

William “Billy” L. Lucas Jr., 51, of North Canton, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Cleveland Clinic Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born on December 6, 1974, in Glen Dale, West Virginia, to William L. Lucas Sr. and Sharry (Campbell) Hinerman.

Billy worked as a general laborer for Aqua Proof Roofing. He was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to lend a hand whenever it was needed.

If there was anything Billy loved as much as his wife, it was his grandchildren. Their laughter filled his heart in ways words could not. They were his greatest joy, his pride, and light that could brighten even the darkest days.

He was preceded in death by his father, William L. Lucas Sr., stepmother, Allie Hall and stepfather Lawrence E. Henry.

Billy is survived by his mother and stepfather, Sharry (Tom) Hinerman; his wife, Samantha A. (Donato) Lucas, whom he married on July 1, 2010; sisters, Dawn Lucas and Samantha Minich; children, Lawrence (Jenna) Henry, Zach Henry, Darrian Quillin, Christopher (Amanda Terwilliger) Henry, Mercedez (Kris Barnhart) Henry, Alexis (Michael Hughes) Henry, Kaitlyn (Marcus Westfall) Lucas and Mack Lucas; numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Wednesday July 8, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. noon at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home. His funeral will begin after calling hours at 12:00 p.m. noon at the funeral home, with Reverend Larry Lockhart and Reverend Fred Lester officiating.

In accordance with William's wishes, private cremation will follow the funeral service.
