Beverly J. Davis

Age 89 of Canton passed away Tuesday June 22, 2021, following a brief battle with an aggressive form of ovarian cancer. She was born July 30, 1931, in Canton to the late Harry A. and Elsie L. (Lehner) Whitmer. Beverly was a 1949 graduate of McKinley High School and retired from the Canton City Schools in 1990 after 21 years of service. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. Her baked goods were always offered at her table; there were no better pies or cookies. She is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin F. Davis in 1982; three brothers, Kenneth, Russell and Eldridge Whitmer; infant brother, Richard Whitmer; stepson, Benjamin Davis Jr.; stepdaughter, Patricia Rosenberger. Beverly is survived by her daughter, Sandra Davis; three sons, Carl, Tom and Richard (Tammy) Davis; stepdaughter, Barbara (John) Kerns; stepson, John Davis; 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday June 29, 2021, at 2:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Louisville. Friends and family will be received one hour before services on Tuesday (1-2pm).
