Don R. Heaston Sr.

Age 85, of East Canton passed away peacefully Monday March 29, 2021 in his home. He was born November 4, 1935 in Canton to the late Harry and Lena (Bumgardner) Heaston. Don was a 1955 graduate of Timken High School. He retired from The Timken Company and was later employed by R.C. Miller Refuse. He was a founding member of the Pleasant Valley Beagle Club, showed poultry at the Stark County Fair 1977-2004, loved to fish, hunt, Beagle trials and attending poultry shows. He is preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. Don is survived by his wife, Ronda K. (Bartlett) to whom he was married 24 years; eight children, Cheryl (Kim) Franks, Donnie Heaston II, Beth (Mark) Boley, Wilma Heaston, Jennifer (Dave) Schlemmer, Keith (Angie) Eash, Kimberly (Kyle) Arick and Amanda (Jeff) Gibb; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Candy Hippley, Sandi Dye, Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care for their wonderful care for Don. Friends and family will be received Thursday April 1, 2021 from 6-8pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton. A private family burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
