Marian A. McGill

Marian A. McGill, age 99, passed away on May 19, 2023.

She was born on September 6, 1923, in Toledo, Ohio, to Lester E. and Bertha A. (Lloyd) Garton.

Marian was a 1941 graduate of Canton Twp. High School, former owner/operator of McGill’s Flowers for 35 years before retiring in 1980 and member of Waco Church of Christ.

Marian was a member and past president of Waco PTA, CS Junior Guild and Women’s Club; member of CS Mothers Singers and Teleflora organization, CS AARP #4885; avid golfer and participated in various leagues including CS teachers league.

Those left to cherish her memory are sons, Raymond Stanley (Shirley) and Lawrence (Charlette) McGill; daughter-in-law, Marcia McGill; 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Randall and James “Ted” McGill; sister, Sara Swinford.

A funeral service will be Tuesday, May 23, 2023, 1pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy Chambers officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Marian will be laid to rest in Melscheimer Cemetery.
