Marylouise Van Voorhis

Age 87, of East Canton passed away Tuesday May 11, 2021 in The Inn at University Village. She was born November 14, 1933 in Scio, OH to the late Francis and Wilma (Copeland) Brown. Marylouise was a 1951 graduate of Scio High School and retired from John Hancock Insurance after 35 years of service. She loved to garden, play cards and Bingo. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Van Voorhis in 2020; one sister, Vivian Stearns. Marylouise is survived by two children, Vivian (Steve) Baier and Vance (Tonya) Van Voorhis; four grandchildren, Tyler (Julieann) Baier, Logan, Austin and Colton Van Voorhis; two great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Berkley Baier; two sisters, Sue Ann Schaerer and Linda (Doug) Arbogast; one brother, Neil (Elvira) Brown. Funeral services will be Friday May 14, 2021 at 11:00am in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor Thomas W. Shank Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Indian Run Cemetery. Friends and family will be received one hour before services on Friday (10-11am). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
