Richard E. Beck, age 92, passed away on April 10, 2023. He was born on May 30, 1930, in Paris Ohio, to Thadius E. and Lena M. (Anthony) Beck.
Richard graduated from Canton South High School and Mount Union College. He was formerly employed by Union Metal Manufacturing Co. as a sales rep. and later became a Paris Twp Trustee, substitute teacher a tutor for Stark County schools. He is a US Marine Corp veteran, former member of the Martin Luther Lutheran Church, and an active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Little Sandy Creek Ruritans, Robertsville Grange, and Canton Jaycees.
Those left to cherish his memory are children, Cheryl Lepkowski, Barbara Beck, Richard L. (Ronda) Beck, Janet (Loran) Hillesheim, and Bette (Steve) Buchheit, seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; four stepchildren, Donald Moody, Kim (Diane) Moody, Patrick Moody, Jay (Jolene) Moody; 10 step grandchildren, 12 step great grandchildren; sister, Irma Nichols; and one niece.
Richard was preceded in death by his first wife, Edith (Stantz) Beck; second wife Alyce (Deckerd) Beck; one nephew.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 13, 2023, 11am at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2551 55th Street NE, Canton, Ohio 44721 with Pastor Mark Williams officiating.
Interment in Paris Cemetery following the services.
