Richard L. Cross

Age 77, of Canton died Tuesday, August 2, 2022 in Cleveland Clinic Mercy Medical Center following an extended illness. Born February 28, 1945 in Stringtown, West Virginia to the late Pearl and Audna (Hall) Cross. He was a Canton resident most of his life. Richard loved bowling and was a die-hard Steelers fan. Preceded in death by a son, Richard Cross II; a daughter, Karen Lea Robinson; six brothers, Dorsey, Elmer, Jack, Robert, Kenny, Johnny Cross; one sister, Gertrude Cross. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Judith L. (Blythe) Cross; one son, Johnny (Emily) Cross; a son-in-law, Michael Robinson; five grandchildren, Jessica and Ryan Robinson, Ellen, Natalie and Katherine Cross; two great grandchildren, Makenzie and Logan Bibey; one brother, Charles (Bonnie) Cross; one sister, Dorothy (Mike) Bower. Funeral services will be Friday, August 5, 2022 at 3:00 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday from 2:00 – 3:00 pm. Interment in Stringtown Cemetery, Belington, West Virginia on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022 at 12:30 pm.
