Ruth E. Brooks

Age 74, of Canton passed away Monday January 4, 2021 in Aultman Hospital. She was born July 3, 1946 in Canton to the late Gerald and Josephine (Melching) Wright. Ruth was a 1964 graduate of Perry High School. She was formerly employed by Cevasco Jewelers and Canton Local Schools for several years. She had attended Mt. Zion Community Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Gerald Wright; one granddaughter, Samantha Brooks. Ruth is survived by her husband, Jack E. Brooks to whom she was married 54 years; three sons, David (Becky) Brooks, Dr. Steven (Dr. Katie) Brooks and Bryan (Melissa) Brooks; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joe (Lee) Wright and William (Debbie) Wright; one sister, Connie Macrides; numerous nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received Wednesday January 6, 2021 from 6-8pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home. A private family funeral will be conducted with burial in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
