Verna R. Heppner

Age 69, of Canton passed away unexpectedly Monday October 4, 2021, in her home. She was born February 11, 1952, in New Matamoras, OH to the late Donald L. and Mary R. (West) Ward. She was a 1970 graduate of Perry High School. Verna was formerly employed by IGA in Alliance for several years and was a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers Local #880. Verna is survived by two children, Mykeal Lindsey and Shawn Lindsey; six grandchildren; seven siblings, Jerry Ward, Judy (Jim) Hanna, Phyllis (Jeff) Rollins, D. Dale (Nancy) Ward, Roy (Diane) Ward, Barbara (Steve) Barker and Gloria (Arthur) Williams; her former husband, Jeff Heppner; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday October 8, 2021, at 11:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ft. Laurens Cemetery. Friends and family will be received one hour before services on Friday (10-11am). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the family.
