William G. Mittas

Age 60, of Canton, passed away Monday January 3, 2022 in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. He was born September 29, 1961 in Canton to Constantinos and Clara (Mentzelos) Mittas. Bill was a 1979 graduate of Canton South High School, a graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in Finance, and he received his law degree from The University of Akron and a Master of Taxation. He operated Mittas Law and was a practicing attorney for more than 30 years. He was honored to currently serve as a Canton Township Trustee since 2011. He was a member of Faith Family Church where he and his wife, Vicki served in the children’s church for 20 years. He was a member of the Canton South Rotary, Stark County Bar Association, Ohio Bar Association and formerly served on the board of Bridge Point Community Services. Bill loved spending time with his family, playing tennis and perfecting his grilling skills. Bill also loved cheering on his alma mater, Ohio State, and supporting the Canton South Arts Programs. He was preceded in death by his mother, Clara Mittas in 2019. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Vicki (Wilcox) to whom he was married 28 years; four children, Sara Ehret, Samantha (Lucas) Murray, Paige (Tanner) Stelluto and Noah Mittas; three grandchildren, Luke, Elliana and Emmersyn Murray; his father, Constantinos Mittas; three brothers, Demetrios (Debra), Thomas (Lisa) and Peter (Victoria) Mittas; numerous nieces, nephews and many good friends. Funeral services will be Friday January 7, 2022 at 6:00pm in Faith Family Church with Pastor Michael A. Cameneti officiating. Friends and family will be received from 3-6pm at the church on Friday. Facial coverings and social distancing will be required. A private family burial will be in Warstler Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Bridge Point Community Services at 309-45th St SW, Canton, OH 44706.
